WAIVERS & FUNDING

Working with PA waivers.

Pennsylvania's ODP funds support through several waivers. Each one looks a little different. If you're not sure which applies to your loved one, call us — we'll help you figure out where to start.

Not on a waiver yet? Start by contacting your county's Administrative Entity. We can help point you to the right office.

WHO IT'S FOR

Built for the way real families live.

ODP services are designed to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and developmental disabilities as they build independence, participate in their communities, and work toward meaningful everyday goals. Our caregivers take the time to understand each individual's routine, preferences, strengths, and interests, so care can feel familiar, encouraging, and centered around the person.

  • Individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or developmental disabilities
  • Adults and transition-age youth working toward greater independence
  • Individuals who need support with daily routines, community participation, social connection, or personal goals
  • Families transitioning from school-based services to adult supports
  • Current family caregivers who need reliable, consistent support

QUICK ANSWERS

Common ODP questions.

What is ODP?

The Office of Developmental Programs is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. It administers Medicaid waivers that fund supports and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

How do I know if my loved one qualifies?

Eligibility is determined by your county's Administrative Entity. If your loved one already has a Supports Coordinator, they can connect you. If not, call us and we'll point you to the right starting place.

Are you really an approved provider?

Yes. We're an approved ODP provider in Pennsylvania and we follow all ODP service definitions, training requirements, and reporting standards.

How do you train ODP caregivers?

Every caregiver completes ODP-required training before serving an individual, plus ongoing in-house training on dignity, communication, person-centered support, and incident reporting.

Can my loved one keep the same caregiver?

Yes. Continuity is the entire point. We hand-match a primary caregiver and keep a backup ready for when life happens.
